112 / 767 in Emergency

On Tuesday 13th December, the Lagos State Accident & Emergency Center (LASAEC) played host to the CEO of the African Business Coalition for Health, Dr. Mories Atoki (Hon.). The visit was borne out of the efforts to draw collaborative support for tackling the menace of deaths and disabilities occurring particularly on our roads. The Lagos State Accident & Emergency Center, being a major player in the government’s effort at reducing morbidity and mortalities due to injuries, provides 100% free emergency care to victims of injuries in the State.

African Business Coalition for Health (ABCHealth) is a coalition of African businesses to support qualitative access to health care on the continent. Partnering with LASAEC will further enhance the effort of the government and improve the outcome of Road Traffic Accidents victims in the State.

During the visit, Dr. Adeolu Arogundade, the Medical Director/CEO of LASAEC, conducted Dr. Atoki on a tour of the facility showing her the operational modalities of the Center. Dr. Atoki also got the opportunity to meet a cross-section of the LASAEC team. She expressed her appreciation for the selfless commitment of the team and promised to galvanize the support of the business community to collaborate with the government through LASAEc and other avenues.
